NICU MINISTRY

The time of birth is a time of celebration, joy, and thanksgiving. However, for some families, it is also full of fear and anxiety. Some families have to see their little ones rushed to the NICU, where they will receive the intensive care that their little bodies need to gain the health and strength that they would not have otherwise. Our goal is to care for these little ones and their families. Our NICU Ministry is an outreach ministry conceived to serve families with babies at the neonatal intensive care unit at Bryan East hospital.

Our NICU ministry present families with a basket containing essential hygiene products for the parents such as shampoo, deodorant, toothbrush and toothpaste and a baby quilt or blanket for the little ones. With this gift, we want to be Christ’s hands to those who need to see Him in their distress and anguish. Jesus comes to us in His Word and Sacraments and this basket is the perfect invitation to meditate upon God’s mercy and love for all of us and to get these families connected to the Church.

"TRULY, I SAY TO YOU, AS YOU DID IT TO ONE OF THE LEAST OF THESE MY BROTHERS, YOU DID IT TO ME."
